Registration
If any supporters are able to assist for a two hour stint at registration between 09:00-17:00 Saturday and between 09:00 and 15:00 Sunday please let me know!
Measurement
It is every RS Aero racers responsibility to ensure that their RS Aero complies with Class Rules for racing. The Class Rules are closed class rules any change from the supplied equipment and the Rigging Manual not specifically permitted by the Class Rules is prohibited.
Please check the Class Rules (May 2022) here; https://www.rsaerosailing.org/docs/876871527(4).pdf and the Rigging Manual here; https://www.rsaerosailing.org/docs/RSAeroRiggingManualOverdeckV10.pdf
The measurement process will work through a quick checklist. RS Aeros may be checked at any time during the event and checks may go beyond that checklist. A completed checklist does not confirm an RS Aero to be class legal, it has just passed measurement at that time.
For reference, an example of the checklist can be found here; https://www.rsaerosailing.org/docs/193392911.pdf
REMINDER on Sail Numbers, National Sail Letters & National Sail Flags
See Class Rules C.10.4 and Annex 2 – https://www.rsaerosailing.org/docs/876871527(4).pdf
If you need numbers or letters off RS Sailing please contact them as early as possible
Sail Numbers
Numbers need to match the four digit sail number applied to the the hull.
They need to be black,
RS Aero 5 & 6 need 230mm tall with min. of 45mm spacings
and
RS Aero 7 & 9 need 300mm tall with min. of 60mm spacings
Spacings are minimums, so go for a good safety margin! Remember the spacings also apply to opposite sides and the distance from the leach too.
Country Sail Letters
Three digit country letters are required by the RRS at international events.
Letters can be either digital or rounded. Again they need to be black, with same size and spacing as the numbers.
Digital letters can be formed from buying digital 8’s. See page 39 here; https://www.rsaerosailing.org/docs/RSAeroRiggingManualOverdeckV10.pdf
National Sail Flags
1 flag is required on the port side for these events, at least 60mm under letters and from leach. A second one is optional on starboard, positioned back-to-back with the port one.
There are plenty available for each of the countries entered.
These will be provided by the Class Association at Registration at either £5 or 5 Euro each, cash only, please bring correct change!
They look great and add a nice splash of colour to the otherwise white RS Aero!
The RS Team Have Landed!

WPNSA encourages visitors to bring their own reusable drinking containers. There are four water bottle refill points: one in the Cafeteria, one outside the toilet corridor and two at the bottom of the Event Hall ramp. You will see these signs next to the refill points:
Dinghy Park – No Glass or Crockery
For everyone’s safety, we kindly ask that no glass or crockery is used in the dinghy park or under the balcony. Many sailors are bare footed or just in dinghy boots walking around, so we want to prevent any cuts from broken glass or crockery.
